Elias Ashmole initiated at Warrington on 16th October at 4.30 p.m.
1717
Grand Lodge convened. Anthony Sayer invested as Grand Master. First Assembly of the Grand Lodge held on 24th June.
1751
Atholl or Ancient Grand Lodge formed.
1795
Dr John McNamara Hayes, Provincial Grand Master.
1811
George, 2nd Viscount Forbes, installed as Provincial Grand Master.
1813
HRH The Duke of Sussex, Grand Master of the Moderns and HRH The Duke of Kent, Grand Master of the Antients, signs the Articles of Union, 25th November.
1814
HRH The Duke of Sussex installed as Grand Master of The United Grand Lodge of England, 2nd May.
1814
The Alfred Lodge, then No.649, received its Warrant 16th February.
1818
The Apollo Lodge, then No.711, received its Warrant 28th December.
1820
The present title, Apollo University Lodge granted.
1833
Bro. J. Wastie of the Alfred Lodge and MP for Oxford, appointed Deputy Provincial Grand Master.
1834
Committee appointed by the Alfred Lodge to consider the formation of a Provincial Grand Lodge.
1837
The R.W.Bro. Lord Henry John Spencer Churchill, Deputy Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, installed as Provincial Grand Master.
1857
W.Bro. R.J. Spiers, PM of the Alfred Lodge, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, edited the first edition of 'The Freemasons' Calendar for the Province of Oxfordshire. It was printed by E.W. Morris and appears to be the earliest instance of a Provincial Calendar.

Masonic Buildings, High Street, Oxford dedicated.
1945
147th Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys under the Presidency of R.W.Bro. Rev. T.T.Blockley, Provincial Grand Master.
1954
Freemasons Hall, 333 Banbury Road, Oxford, opened.
1960
Foundation Stone of extension to Freemasons' Hall laid by the Rt.Hon. The Lord Rathcreedan TD, Provincial Grand Master 12th October.
1962
Dedication of Temple at 333 Banbury Road, Oxford, 19th March. Dedicating Officer, R.W. Bro. J.W. Stubbs, Grand Secretary.
1965
History of Freemasonry in Oxfordshire by Bro. Col. A.J. Kerry OBE, MEIC, published.
1966
The R.W. Bro. The Lord Rathcreedan TD, Provincial Grand Master, laid the foundation stone for the Masonic Building at Caversham on 5th February with the dedication of the Temple taking place on 5th September.
1967
179th Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls under the Presidency of R.W. Bro. The Rt. Hon the Lord Rathcreedan TD, Provincial Grand Master.
1970
Culham College Lodge No.2951, transferred from Province of Essex to Province of Oxfordshire.
1985
R.W. Bro. Geoffrey Michael Redman-Brown installed as Provincial Grand Master and M.E. Grand Superintendant.
1986
Dedication of Rathcreedan Temple at 333 Banbury Road, Oxford, on the 1st November. Dedicating Officer, R.W. Bro. Geoffrey Michael Redman-Brown, Provincial Grand Master.

Patent issued governing the grant of the new Provincial Coat of Arms to R.W. Bro. Geoffrey Michael Redman-Brown, Provincial Grand Master.
1989
Province of Oxfordshire Grand Charity Festival held on 1st July under the Presidency of R.W. Bro. Geoffrey Michael Redman-Brown, Provincial Grand Master.
1994
Formal opening of The Albany Nursing Home and Retirement Flats on 15th July by the MW Grand Master HRH The Duke of Kent KG.
2000
Oxfordshire Provincial website launched in November.
2001
Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution Millennium Festival held at Gaydon Heritage Centre on 26th May under the Presidency of R.W. Bro. Geoffrey Michael Redman-Brown, Provincial Grand Master.

R.W. Bro. Alan John Englefield installed as Provincial Grand Master and M.E. Grand Superintendant.

M.E.Comp. Alan John Englefield installed as Provincial Grand Superintendant.
2005
R.W. Bro. Alan John Englefield Provincial Grand Master launches the 20-11 Festival in support of the Masonic Samaritan Fund.

R.W. Bro. Stephen James Dunning installed as Provincial Grand Master and M.E. Grand Superintendant.
